Sip while you scrawl
Oh, how I wish I could be in Ottawa on April 9th, 2015.
I can guarantee, after I visited my family and invited them to join me, I would be heading on over, at 6:00pm, to the Raw Sugar Cafe for the inaugural “Sip n’ Scrawl.”
Postage handled
For just ten dollars you receive a delicious cuppa coffee, beautiful letterpress stationery (including envelope) created by Covet & Co., a pen, and my favorite, postage. Yes, a stamp is included. Pretty sweet deal.
The brains and talent behind this fantabulous idea are Julie and Dawn of Covet & Co, a letterpress studio located in Almonte, Ontario, just a stone’s throw from downtown Ottawa. Both crazy for fine stationery and notebooks, this duo has recently opened up shop as of February 1st, 2015. Literally ‘hot off the press.’
Kick start a letter writing movement
From wedding invitations, business cards, social stationery or gift tags, Covet & Co can make your paper dreams come true. If you have never seen a letterpress at work, they welcome you to walk in and learn about their passion and the art of pressing paper.
The motivation behind the Sip n’ Scrawl is to see and foster a renewed interest in the lost art of letter writing. Of course I’m all over that idea!
And, some insider info just for you, Sip n’ Scrawl may even go on the road for the summer. Spoiler alert: Toronto might be the first stop.

Will you be going?
That’s a nice idea. I don’t think that would be succesful in Morocco, but maybe in Spain. Of course I’d show up too!
